Happy Halloween y'all!!! It begins today: 31 days of Wizzy Talks. I've got so much planned for yall this month, including some new art, new writings, a YouTube Video, and an EP I'm releasing towards the end of the month. I have always loved Halloween and the opportunity it's given me to dress up and experiment with my presentation. Every year around Halloween time, I knew I could count on the holiday to give me the space to be sexy or scary or masculine or all of those things at once. I released my first song, Pussy on Salt two Halloweens ago. Last year, I released BFFR, which is the single from my first EP, The Sparkler EP, that came out on my birthday this year. This Halloween, I want to share more of myself that I ever have before.
I usually do Blacktober on my art account, @wizdumbart, so expect that of course. If you've never heard of Blacktober, its a social media event where black artists around the world re-imagine iconic characters as Black. Additionally, I've been sitting on a lot of original art that I'm dying to share. Check my Kofi page for some sneak peaks and WIPs. In terms of music, the title of the new EP is The Sparkly Hour. I've been working on it with my extremely talented friend, Jose Pizarro @elevationishere. They've produced all the beats, and are helping me bring my vision to life. It's a spooky, fun project that I'm so excited to share. I want to give my art the roll out it deserves, especially for all the people that have consistently supported me and everything I do. Finally, the YouTube video I'm working on is about love, beauty, and liberation (yall know that's my jam lmao). Just like with art, I'm posting teasers and script outlines on my Kofi page as I work on it.
Speaking of Kofi; if you'd like to support me on an ongoing basis, I offer a monthly subscription there, and while I can't guarantee Kofi content all the time, rest assure you will be feed this month. Thank you to all the people who have supported me on my journey so far. I look forward to ascending to new heights with my work and continuing to be a resource to my beloved community.
