I made this playlist almost 2 years ago - in October of 2020. This was the caption for that playlist description:
"This is a playlist of creators I love that are getting me through it. This is for all the Zoomers and Boomers to bop to on those looong lonely quarantine nights"
I whole heartedly stand by these sentiments, though I watch all of these creators for a bit less time these days. This playlist is special to be because it's a snapshot of who I put my faith in. It's a snapshot of who I trusted to enter the intimate spaces of my home and sometimes the intimate spaces of my mind. I think it's a great first playlist to debut #BlackDirectory and above all I hope to discover new content creators to fill your time - in place of the occasional doomscroll or even in the background of your sudden bursts of productivity.
I also want to take this time to elaborate some on the mission. The videos in this playlist are meant to introduce you to new people. Remember, the GOAL right now for the Black Directory is to archive 100 black creators. Take these playlists as a way to meet knew people and form new para-social relationships with people that cared enough to reach out to you putting themselves out there on the internet. I really love people man lmao.
